PhD Opportunities

Data Analysis on the NOvA Experiment

This year there is potential for an STFC studentship on the NOvA experiment. UK and EU students can apply who fullfil a 3-year residency requirement in the UK. A PhD on NOvA will focus mainly on data analysis and exploitation, with the very high likelihood of directly contributing to the next neutrino oscillations analysis, which could be the one that discovers the neutrino mass hierarchy! There is also scope for working on other topics such as beam simulation, detector calibration, and even supernova neutrinos should a supernova occur in the next few years! For questions about NOvA PhD studentships please contact Dr. Anna Holin.
