Minutes for UCL Proton Calorimetry Meetings, 8th July

Present

Simon Jolly, Saad Shaikh, Raffaella Radogna, Fern Pannell

Saad Shaikh

  • Made good progress in DDC232 code, behaves as intended in simulation. Results of simulation discussed here.
  • Debugged example UART project, now working on interfacing DDC232 code with UART to send data to PC.
    • Will need to simulate again before testing on hardware.
  • Will meet Simon on 15th at UCL to collect photodiodes.

Raffaella Radogna

  • The STFC IAA grant was approved! £20k will be available for detector related consumables.
  • Emailed Ruben to discuss fellowships. Will email Gary Royle to investigate interests from Med. Phys. department.
  • submitted the EPSRC remit query
  • is working on the FPGA blinking LED tutorial
    • will focus on VHDL to be ready to read Saad's code asap.
