Minutes for UCL Proton Calorimetry Meetings, 22nd February

Saad Shaikh, Simon Jolly, Sonia Escribano, Maya Maciurzynska, Andreas Korn

Reviewed notes from Sonia on QuARC paper and implemented them.
Met with Sarah Osman and Andreas Kyprianou from MaThRad to discuss interest in expanding Bortfeld model to describe heavy ion depth-dose relationships
- They may be able to provide support with a PhD student to work on Geant4 simulation.
Will provide Sonia with live fitting and replay scripts for use with new version of web GUI.
Met with Ruben to discuss progress on Maya's MSci project:
- Will reach out to Charles-Antoine to discuss way to reduce optical artefacts in DSLR images.
- Will write a script to plot simulated Geant4 depth dose data alongside UCLH reference data to help calibrate depth and determine appropriate beam settings for simulation.
- Sonia to investigate scoring LET in Geant4 simulation.
FLASH abstract accepted for oral presentation at PTCOG61!
- Clatterbridge abstract accepted for a poster.
