Minutes for UCL Proton Calorimetry Meeting, 20th September 2017 (D17, Physics & Astronomy, UCL)

ABF:

• Detector simulations now working:
  • Ported from SLC5 to SL6 (Geant4.10.2).
  • Bragg curve plot inside detector fixed.
  • Can read in output files from MH's Clatterbridge simulations.
• Have heard back from Hamamatsu regarding wiring for PMT bases.

RS

• Still working with Hamamatsu to provide PMT for single module:
  • Supply last dynode stages in PMT from 2 HV PSUs.
  • Concern over no limiting resistor between HV and dynode...

LK:

• Submitted transfer report: currently writing transfer talk.
• Attended HEP summer school in Lancaster.
• Build-up publication to be completed.
• Will assist Anastasia with detector simulations and Birmingham data analysis.
• Next steps will be to understand MAPS sensor hardware readout.

JS:

• Finished Geant4 tutorials.
  • One of the tutorials is unfinished with data files missing (ElectronPHSP)...
  • Will update Advanced Tutorials.
• Will write up documentation on using Eclipse for code editing.
