Minutes for UCL Proton Calorimetry Meetings, 12th November 2019 (D17, Physics & Astronomy, UCL)
Present
Simon Jolly, Laurent Kelleter, Raffaella Radogna, Saad Shaikh
Saad Shaikh
- progress on fitting Bortfeld's Bragg curve on simulation data from Geant4 (from Laurent)
- the code is ported in Eclipse and now is cpp executable, but still uses ROOT
- next step will be the quenched Bragg curve and real data analysis
- he will also start running the CMOS sensor and collect instructions about
- running the software and acquiring images
- analysing images
- new directory pbt/wikiData/teaching
Laurent Kelleter
- presents results about range uncertainties of the QuARC
- uncertainty from the fit of light-depth curve is about 50um, but there are other sources of systematic uncertainty
Raffaella Radogna
Simon Jolly
- meeting with Cham on Friday this week
