Minutes for UCL Proton Beam Therapy Group Meetings, 15th April

Present

Joe Bateman, Febian, Andreas Korn (via Teams), ''Raffaella Radogna (via Teams), Simon Jolly

RaffaellaRadogna

  • In touch with INFN in regards to new project on PMBT detectors/dosimetry - potential to include QuADProBe and adapting detector layout for SFRT?

Joe Bateman

  • Completed first steps of setting up NI USB-6366 by writing VI setting different frequencies out of different pins and verifying with scope - however limited to 1 MHz using USB-6366 alone.
  • For next steps when attempting to communicate with S17825's - will need to use a zibo or nexus FPGA with Febian and Raffy's help (by modifying firmware from analogue photodiode arrays) to generate clock pulse for MCLK (14 - 32 MHz).
  • Simon will draft out initial points for UCL I&E Knowledge Exchange grant and then send over.
  • New DDC232 have arrived - so need to test with Febian.

Febian

  • Installed apache etc onto Kria
  • Maybe receiving some firmware from Andy on readback pattern for kria, but can look at doing with testing signals initially.

Simon Jolly

  • Sorting out QuARC patent IP with UCLB etc
  • Preparations for two internal UCL grants (I&E Knowledge Exchange and early-stage commercialisation grants) as well as STFC UKRI proof-of-concept grant.
