Joe Bateman, Sonia Escribano, Simon Jolly, Febian
Febian
- Implementing BP and QB curve manually in python
- Bortfeld and paganetti have Bortfeld Bragg peak curve
- From Simon:
- Possibly investigate whether Bragg curve can be implemented in fpga using superimposed gaussians since fpga fits gaussians very easily
- Matt cleaning up fpga whilst febian on placement so fabian can focus on fitting code
Sonia Escribano
- Havent solved calibration issue yet
- Possibly get everyhting sorted in a month for experiment (optimistically)
- Scintillator - need to receive samples
- Only have 10 sheets within ourselves between 100x100x3mm but we need 128
- Currently have 192 photodiodes but need 256
- Matt has revd6 and revd5 possibly missing
- 10 ddc boards and 5 mod daughter boards form Oxford so turn around time about 14-20 days
- Need to figure out how calibration code can work for having photodiodes on both sides - keep calibrations individual for now
- Provide matt with ddc board with photodiodes and daughter board to tidy up firmware
- Modifying ftdi code to detect boards attached - but if there are 0s that correspond to real number of boards to the measure they are erased (maybe explains calibration issue)
- Need to change ftdi2.cpp to eliminate 0s only in groups of 160
Simon Jolly
- Can potentially do beam test with 2 modules
- If need more may need to ask nuvia for more
- Order about 100 more
- Code should check read back pattern twice
- 1st to check number of boards
- 2nd to acquire data whilst knowing the number of boards
Joe Bateman
- Reconstructing SOBPs from TOPAS simulation
- Still working on fixing TOPAS and FRED discrepancy
- Discrepancy disappears when simulating mono-energetic 150 MeV beam
- Simulated 154.97 MeV proton beam with more realistic energy spread (from Saad's thesis) and agreement between TOPAS and FRED BP's improve
